SUPER STRATS OF 1984 TO 1987

THE SUPER STRATS OR WHAT WAS THEN CALLED FENDER MIJ (MADE IN JAPAN) CONTEMPORARY STRATOCASTERS.  WERE MADE TO DRAW A VARIETY OF ROCKERS AND HEAVY METAL ARTIST.  LOVED THE SUPER STRAT BECAUSE OF IT'S BRIDGE HUMBUCKER AND LOCKING MECHANISM BEHIND THE NUT.  GAVE THE SUPER STRAT A SUPER SUSTAIN FOR A VARIETY OF TONES.  PICTURED ABOVE IS MY OWN PERSONAL 1986 OR e6XXXXX STRAT PLUS, I BOUGHT AND TRESURED SINCE.  THIS 1986 OR I CALL IT THE 86ER, IS COMPLETE WITH TWO SINGLE ALNICO PICKUPS (PUPS) AND THE FAMOUS HUMBUCKER THAT MADE GIBSON GUITARS SO FAMOUS.  MY 86ER ABOVE ALSO HAS WHAT IS CALLED A TBX SWITCHING WHICH PUTS THE PUPS IN AND OUT OF PHASE GIVING EVEN MORE VARIETY OF TONES AND ESPECIALLY WHEN DOING A RIDE, SWITCHING OUT OF PHASE CAUSES THE MIDDLE GAIN FOR THAT CLAPTON SOUND.

WHAT I REALLY LOVE ABOUT THE  80'S STRAT PLUS OR SUPER STRAT IS THE FENDER SYSTEM ONE BRIDGE.  IT HAS THREE MECHANISMS I REALLY ENJOY, LIKE LOCKING THE STRINGS DOWN WITH A LOCKING SYSTEM BEHIND THE NUT SO THAT THE GUITAR STAYS IN TUNE, WHETHER I'M PULLING UP OR DIVE BOMBING.  IN THE TWENTY TRHEE YEARS I'VE OWNED HER, THIS BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT STAYS TRUE AND IN TUNE.  UNLIKE OLDER USA MODELS WITH THE FULCRUM TWO POINT TREMOLO BRIDGE, WHICH EVERYONE KNOWS YOU HAVE TO TUNE EVERY SET.  I CAN LAY MY 86ER DOWN AND PICK IT UP A WEEK LATER AND STILL BE IN PERFECT TUNE.  THE SNAP IN BAR OR TREMOLO/WHAMMY BAR WITH THE FERRULE LOCKING COLLAR, KEEPS THE BAR WHERE YOU WANT IT WHEN YOU WANT IT, AND BECAUSE IT SNAPS INTO A COLLET LIKE BALL BEARING RING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BRIDGE, THERE IS LESS SLIPPAGE, LESS PLACEMENT AND LESS BREAKAGE.  LOCKING THE STRINGS DOWN DOESN'T CAUSE A PROBLEM WITH THE SIX INDIVIDUAL FINE TUNERS SUPPLIED ON EACH STRING.  IF YOUR STRING SHOULD STRETCH, YOU CAN USE THE TINY TUNERS TO ADJUST THE TUNING BY TURNING IT CLOCKWISE OR COUNTER CLOCKWISE.
