Hi Tom & family & all,
Happy Christmas to you all.
Thank you very much for the beautiful Candy Apple Red Stratocaster Tom!!! This morning, Christmas Morning, our daughter started to cry when she saw the beautiful guitar. I her heart she had been hoping and praying for one. Linda said that she thought Cecilia was going to faint.
Ceci (CHAY-chee, Italian style pronunciation) was so happy! Thanks again so much brother Tom. The first thing Ceci said was that the guitar was VERY easy for her to play...; that it felt really good and that the action was very low and easy. I said "really?" and she said, "Yes, look I can easily play the bar chords!" So, I watched and sure enough she breezed through a bunch of bar chords. Tom, do you know what I suddenly remembered? That in your eBay listing you wrote that the Candly Apple Red color was so beautiful that you could almost cry.
Remember that? Well, Ceci did cry--she was that happy when she saw the guitar.
Cecilia said just now that after dinner she would like to plug it in.
She has been playing it unplugged pretty much all day. So, later we will plug it in and make some music.
Joyful Christmas to you all and all our best wishes for the New Year 2011,
Joe, Linda & Cecilia & Tennessee
Hi Joe and linda, and Merry Christimas, I am so glad to here Cecilla loved the guitar. It is a beautiful guitar and I know she will enjoy it.. It means so much to mean and my work to hear someone has been reached with the efforts God has talented me for and that their exhuberant joy has been filled. I pray that she will excell in leaning and playing as I did when I first bought my 1986 Fender MIJ Fender System One Stratocaster. The D profile neck and the 12 degree radiuos on the neck make it so easy to wrap your hands around it and like you say in your letter, be able to do bar chords a whold lot faster. The lead playing is that way too. The mass of the solid brass Chrome plated Fender System One floating bridge with lock down nut, provides the cleanest and brightest tones, not to mention sustain. The wammi bar is able to dip down into a dive bomb and up again to safely bend the strings with out breakage because of the rollers on the saddles and the two point fulcrum style pivoting post that has a much wider vibrato then the six screw vintage type or the new two point fender saddle bridge... I so glad Cecilia is enjoying it.. Have a Merry Merry Christmas and a happy New Year... papatom l
